If something does not look right, first confirm the app is updated, your device is online when syncing, notifications are allowed for reminder features you use, and iCloud is available for your Apple ID.
Widgets, Live Activity, and privacy
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show daily spend, trends, summaries, and one-tap quick add, and a Live Activity keeps today’s spend on your Lock Screen. Enable privacy redaction when you want sensitive values hidden.
Budgets, goals, and recurring
Review category budgets, monthly goal progress, and forecast signals, and let recurring bills and subscriptions log themselves automatically from the subscription center.
iCloud sync
Confirm iCloud is enabled on your Apple devices and that you are signed in with the same Apple ID. The app remains usable while sync is unavailable.
Receipts, photos, and location
Attach several receipts or photos to an expense, with on-device scanning. Location capture is optional — keep it off and continue tracking manually.
Statement import and report cards
Import transactions from CSV, OFX, or QFX files, parsed on device, and share a spending report card from the reports screen.
Apple Watch quick log
Keep the iPhone and Apple Watch apps installed and paired. Watch entries are designed for quick capture and later review on iPhone.
Can I use the app without iCloud?
Yes. Nudgit is local-first. iCloud helps sync your data across your own Apple devices when it is enabled and available.
How do I keep widget values private?
Turn on widget privacy redaction in Nudgit settings. Widgets can then hide sensitive amounts while still keeping the app available from your Home Screen.
Can I track budgets and recurring expenses?
Yes. Use the budget and goal screens for planned spending, and set recurring bills and subscriptions to log themselves automatically from the subscription center.
Can I import transactions from a statement?
Yes. You can import transactions from CSV, OFX, or QFX files. Everything is parsed on your device, so nothing is uploaded.
Can I use the app without location access?
Yes. Location capture is optional. You can deny permission or disable it and continue logging expenses normally.
Where can I report a support issue?
Send a short description of the issue, your device model, iOS/watchOS version, and whether the issue affects iPhone, Apple Watch, or iCloud sync.
